Home Care of Lake County

Mission Statement

Our united mission is to meet the needs of people through coordination and collaboration with clients, caregivers, families, and other available community resources. We are sister companies that value life and lifestyle decisions. We maintain client autonomy in the home by supporting and guiding our caregivers. We work with clients to achieve, maintain and encourage their highest functional level possible. Around the Clock Home Care and Home Care of Lake County are sister companies which are not-for-profit corporations.

Careful Screening Process

For security and peace of mind, Around the Clock Home Care and Home Care of Lake County perform thorough background checks on prospective employees. In the health care profession it is our duty to protect our patients. We uphold the highest standards and our reputation by ensuring our staff is fingerprinted, our STNA’s have been checked in the nurse aide registry, and all employees holding professional medical licensure are in good standings. Our sister organizations check all employees and applicants in six databases prior to the BCII report. Additionally we perform reference checks and work history reports when hiring.

Our companies are committed to the premise of life-long learning. We constitute extensive in-house training with all of our employees, deliver competency drills and skill lab assessments, certify our employees in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, support and teach continuing education, and all of our non-medical staff receives supervision under a Registered Nurse. Our board, director, and supervisors understand that the aging of America dictates a higher need of caregivers with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia training. We remain in tune to demographic trends and find the most current and significant educational opportunities for our aides, offering individual opportunity to advance his or her skill sets in order to deliver exceptional services.
